The day of Hildah & Brian’s wedding on 13 November 2011, started off a bit worrisome for any photographer. It was supposed to be summer, but we had 4 seasons in one day, cloudy, rain and finally hail! But with a little prayer everything worked out great. It was a truly diverse wedding and an amazing experience. Hildah, who is Jewish Xhosa, married Brian, who is a Scottish atheist….so there was lots of tooi tooi and bagpipes! The ceremony and the wedding couple almost brought tears to my eyes, Hildah looked so beautiful. The venue at Allee Bleue in Franschoek was also fantastically rustic and everyone had a great time.
