I met Leandi Franken at one of her shows and we quickly became friends. She is bringing out her first cd and asked me to do the photographs for the cover. The shoot was done at Boschendal near Franschoek on 21 June 2012 which was the perfect setting. Cloudy day, autumn leaves, silver trees and mystic environment all created a fairy tale effect which was exactly what we wanted to capture. Leandi’s make-up was done by her mother, Patrys, who is a professional make-up artist and she was dressed like a princess. Rarely do I get the opportunity to photograph such a beautiful girl and she is extremely talented, outgoing and free spirited. Stunning shoot!
